Chris was a Detroit, Michigan, native and career food service professional exclusively dedicated to the natural and organic foods movement. A vegetarian since 1988, he was the founder and chef/owner of the popular, award-winning vegetarian Cosmic Café and worked with natural foods retailers since the mid-1990s. He worked as a recipe developer, commercial kitchen designer and consultant with National Co+op Grocers (NCG) located in St. Paul, Minnesota.
