Orcas Food Co-op
Orcas Food Co-op opened its doors June 1st 2014 with over 600 members. The purpose of the Orcas Food Co-op is to increase local food production and enhance Orcas Island’s community food network by selling high-quality local and organic, non-GMO food and other household goods at the lowest feasible cost, and by educating customers and connecting them to helpful resources.
Our Co-op is a full-service grocery store, prioritizing local and organic products, minimal packaging, and providing options for a wide variety of dietary preferences including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan.
All our produce is organically-grown, with many options from local farmers.
We have a full-service deli, as well as a grab-and-go case. All our deli dishes are made fresh in-house with the same high-quality products available in the store, with an emphasis on local and organic ingredients. We offer made-to-order sandwiches and salads and a wide variety of entrees. Take it to go, or we would be happy to heat it up.
All of our wines are made with organically-grown grapes.
We have seating outside in the courtyard, and an upstairs room, the Co-op Commons, to eat your deli food, hang out with your friends, or catch up online with our free WIFI. We also offer community events, educational workshops and other activities in the Commons.
We welcome members of other co-ops far and wide to come check us out and say hi!
