Core and Rind
In 2016, Core and Rind founders Rita Childers and Candi Haas started selling their delicious sauce at a St. Louis farmer’s market. People instantly adored their cheesy sauce, prompting Candi and Rita to develop a shelf-stable version to allow people to easily create their favorite mac and cheese, nachos or pizza at home. This sauce, despite tasting like decadent creamy cheese, is made from pumpkin and cashews. Cashews are rich in fiber, protein and zinc, and pumpkin is loaded with vitamin A, which is vital for the immune system, eyes and bone health.
