There’s a street in Venice Beach named after Abbot Kinney, a visionary 19th century conservationist. Kerry Song, founder and CEO of Abbot’s Butcher, named her company after the street (and the inspirational man) when she lived there and began selling her plant-based proteins in farmer’s markets around Southern California. Today, Abbot’s Butcher plant-based proteins are available in stores and used by chefs in restaurants to create gourmet dishes that elevate the entire concept of plant-based.
