Upper Valley Food Co-op
Upper Valley Food Co-op (UVFC) is a small natural foods co-op serving the greater Upper Valley area of Vermont since 1976. We are a community market, cooperatively owned by approximately 1,100 of our friends and neighbors. We offer a unique atmosphere, friendly environment and excellent customer service.
UVFC is dedicated to supporting social and environmental responsibility. We carefully consider where our products come from; and whenever possible, we try to carry local items and seek to purchase from small independent suppliers.
We offer an abundance of local, organic, and ecologically grown produce, artisan breads, imported and local cheeses, bulk nuts, grains, herbs and spices, one of the widest selections of supplements, organic, free-range and hormone-free meat and a full gamut of natural foods. Our Sweet Lilac Deli has soups, sandwiches, salads of all sorts, coffee and tea, muffins, and more! Take out or enjoy at our cozy seating area.
The heart of UVFC, like the heart of any co-op, is its community. Our small and dedicated staff keeps things running, but nevertheless we could not survive without our superworkers! These dedicated volunteers help out with everything from stocking to bagging, from cleaning to recycling. In exchange for their time they earn discounts toward their co-op purchases. Their presence helps build a strong sense of community at UVFC. We invite you to visit and join us as a member or friend of the co-op.
