Hendersonville Community Co-op (South Charleston Lane)
Hendersonville Community Co-op has provided the community with quality products and services for more than 40 years. The co-op began in 1978 with a group of 15 families interested in buying better food at wholesale prices. During its history, the co-op has expanded and relocated several times. In February of 2015, we expanded into our current site. Several of the founding members are still active in the co-op, and our membership has continued to grow. Approximately 5,000 families and individuals share in ownership of the co-op.
The co-op boasts a wide selection of organic foods, including an all-organic produce department, bulk foods, an extensive wellness and body care department, fair-trade coffees and teas and fair-trade gifts. Hendersonville Community Co-op is also home to a fresh meat and seafood department, a full-service deli: freshly made-from-scratch soups, grab-and-go salads and sandwiches and homemade baked goods.
