Feather River Food Co-op (Portola)
We have Plumas County’s largest selection of organically grown produce and we are committed to purchasing locally and regionally from small family farms. We offer an excellent variety of natural vitamins, herbs, and supplements, a complete selection of natural health and body care products, and over 300 varieties of bulk foods, herbs, and spices. The co-op also carries naturally raised poultry and meats free from antibiotics, growth hormones, and other chemicals as well as sustainably harvested sea foods. We have artisan breads, baked goods, and deli foods made fresh on site. Our staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
In our community, we show our support for local growers and businesses and other community education events.
Feather River Food Co-ops are open to the public and anyone can shop, but you may find you’d like to invest in the co-op and become a member-owner. Your share dollars (your investments) provide the co-op with working capital, and by becoming a member-owner, you’re showing your support for community-based business, sustainable agriculture, and consumer cooperation. Our membership and role in the community continues to grow as more and more people become aware of the benefits of a natural foods diet.
