Co+op represents a network of community-owned grocery stores across the country. Unlike corporate chains, each co-op is totally independent and owned by the community members who shop. Family Farmer and Rancher Tax Fairness Act

Exempts from federal income taxes payments made to farmers to either provide debt relief for distressed borrowers or remedy past discrimination by USDA’s farm lending programs.
Protecting America’s Meatpacking Workers Act

Provides for a variety of measures to protect meat and poultry workers, reform the farm system and call for Government Accountability Office reports on racial and ethnic disparities in the meat and poultry processing industry.
Child Labor Exploitation Accountability Act

Prohibits USDA from engaging in contracts with companies that have committed egregious labor law violations and/or contracted with vendors that have incurred, and failed to rectify, serious worker or labor infractions.
Justice for Black Farmers Act

Directs USDA to remedy the agency’s historic discrimination within federal farm assistance and lending programs. Reforms the U.S. Department of Agriculture, provide debt relief, and create a land grant program to encourage a new generation of Black farmers.

Increases meat and poultry processing capacity to enhance opportunities for local livestock and poultry producers by increasing federal cost share for state and local inspection programs and creating new competitive grant opportunities.
