My love of fresh, local food goes back to when I was a child and my grandmother fussed over how much summer fruit I consumed, warning me against inevitable stomach aches. It never happened. Today, I'm a co-founder of and freelance food writer. I live in Portland, Oregon, with my two children and husband.
