Maazah
Woman-owned Business
Meet the saucy sisters, Yasameen and Sheilla Sajady. As first-generation Afghan Americans growing up in the Midwest, food served as a vital link to their Middle Eastern heritage. Inspired by their mom’s magical green chutney recipe, they launched Maazah, which means “flavor” in Farsi. They began their journey by handcrafting their mom’s sauces and selling them across Minnesota at farmer’s markets and co-ops. Today, you can find Maazah in more than 300 stores nationwide.
